With increasing tourism and a vibrant local population, the municipality needed a solution that was both reliable and easy to maintain.\r\n\r\nUrben Blu\u2019s smart public restroom solution stood out for its self-cleaning system, programmable functionality, and strong design\u2014making it an ideal fit for Fruita\u2019s downtown area.\r\n\r\n&nbsp;\r\n\r\n<strong>The Challenge for Urben Blu<\/strong>\r\n\r\nPrior to delivery, Urben Blu coordinated a site visit to help the city plan and prepare the location. According to <strong>Marc Mancuso, Parks and Recreation Director for the City of Fruita<\/strong>, the process was simple and efficient:\r\n\r\n<em>\u201cThe installation was very straightforward, and they provided great information on preparing the site before they arrived. They came out for a site visit to review the site prior to shipping the unit from Canada.\u201d<\/em>\r\n\r\nThe entire setup took approximately four days from delivery to full operation.\r\n\r\nAlthough some onsite maintenance is still required, the unit reduced daily workload compared to conventional facilities. As Marc noted:\r\n\r\n<em>\u201cIt is not fully autonomous; staff are still required to help maintain but not as much as other restrooms. The automatic locking doors help with security at night and the operations are easy to program.\u201d<\/em>\r\n\r\n<em>\u00a0<\/em>\r\n\r\n<strong>Results<\/strong>\r\n\r\nThe overall feedback from the city has been extremely positive, both regarding the quality of the unit and the support received:\r\n\r\n<em>\u201cThe restroom is high quality and made from quality materials. The overall operation and quality of the unit fit well into our downtown area and is great.\u201d<\/em>\r\n\r\n&nbsp;\r\n\r\nMost importantly, the restroom fulfilled its purpose effectively:\r\n\r\n<em>\u201cIt has served the purpose of providing downtown restrooms and has added to the amenities we can offer.\u201d<\/em>\r\n\r\n&nbsp;\r\n\r\n<strong>Conclusion<\/strong>\r\n\r\nFor the City of Fruita, the Urben Blu restroom represents a successful investment in public infrastructure\u2014delivering ease of use, security, and community value.
